The sweetest Children can sometimes confuse us the most!

It seems as though with Zachary we never had any real health problems. Tyler has been another story! He came into this world blue and ever since has had fabulous still small health problems.

Yesterday he woke up with a low grade fever of 99 degrees. Kenny and I were immediately on high alert due to his seizures. So we began to give him Tylenol like Doc told up to do.....he seemed to be a little fussy but not terrible. My best friend Felicia took Zach to preschool for me because I didn't want to risk another seizure on the way somewhere which has been the case with his last two seizures. Well while zach is at preschool, tyler wakes up from his nap with a 102 temp. I give him motrin at 3 and know that i cant give him anything else until 9. URG! at 5:30 it is back up to 102.7 his face is bright red and he is extremely lethargic. I then give him more tylenol and of course there is no immediate response. Kenny comes home slightly freaked out and immediately gives him a luke warm bath to try and bring it down but tyler doesn't want it and with his screaming gagged and threw up everything that was in his system. Beautiful. With the rising temp, we decided to take him to Urgent Care. WE spent the next 3 hrs there....when we got there his temp was down to 101.5 Thank you tylenol. They put us in the waiting room and called us back 1 hr later. Then we sat in the office for another hr. The doctor finally comes in and says wow he is hot but everything else on him looks perfect...ears...throat, glands..... well he then left and said he was going to talk to the doc. Another 10 minutes went by and Tyler was growing more and more red, extremely lethargic and felt like he just came out of the dryer. I was tired of waiting, I walked out of the office found the doc and told him his fever is getting worse. The doc then got the nurse to take his temp and sure enough it was 105 degrees. They then gave him 10 ml of Motrin....double the dose for his age and monitored him for another hour. After the hour it was 102.3 and we were discharged home...given the option to take him to the hospital but with a fear that that would do more harm then good. So I am told to medicate my child every three hours with interchanging tylenol and motrin out...in 3 days its not gone i have to follow up with Kipp. I love how sometimes there is just no explanation to what is going on with this cute little boys body! The blessing in all of this is even with his temp reaching 105 he did not have a seizure. The bad part is thats way high and man his face appeared to be burned all night long.

Putting Time back into our family....

It has been a long time coming but after much thought and prayer Kenny and I decided we needed to be spending more time as a family. In the Ensign for February it said " Busy schedules and the demands of life can make it difficult to actively decide how you want to live and respond to the needs and demands of your family. This means that circumstance, other people or old habits can dictate how you respond to a given situation rather than deciding how you will act." Kenny and I decided that with our callings, school, and work we were running into major scheduling problems. We had a total of 2 nights in which we actually got to spend just as our little family. We have decided to make that 5 nights now and we have been reaping the fun that comes with getting to know our little ones better. They are funny!

Tyler and his Gotee.

Zach and his fabulous playdoe creation, a flat pancake.

Our very first FHE just our little family....the dessert we made...tyler and I....cherry cheesecakes.

And of course the Spagetti and Meatballs! I need time to perfect the meatball recipe! My grandma made the best meatballs ever.

This is a picture of the car bin that I clean up 7-8 times per day and the culprit behind the mess.

And this is of course the picture of the man I love...he rocks...its been fun being married to him for almost 6 years!

Cruisin'

My genius friend Sarah got her boys a skitter and I followed suit because it looked like so much fun. The boys love it. Zach loves riding with Tyler on it and Tyler is on it half the day just by himself. I am so glad I have smart friends!

Sleep much?

We have caught Zach in the most unusual sleep positions lately when we go to check on them right before we go to bed. Although this is not the most unusual position we have seen this one still cracked me up.

Ready to Read!

Zach has been reading a ton lately which is wonderful. He has set a great example for his younger brother who is now extremely excited to look at books!I love books so this is exciting for me to see my little guys so enthused.

Broadway!!!!!!

I got to go to the coolest play ever! I get to see Wicked in July so for now this is the coolest one I have been to! Kenny and I really enjoyed our date out.

Its finally reached my shoulders!!!!!!!

Anytime I want a change I have a tendency to do something drastic. j/k. Anyway, last year around this time I chopped my hair off for Locks of Love. Part of the reason why I did it was because I knew of two people who were battling cancer. However, as great as I felt donating I hated my hair afterwards. I am extremely happy today that my hair has officially reached my shoulders. I am a dork I know to be posting this but to me it is a momentous occasion. Sadly though at school I will now have to wear it up in a ponytail.

Ever had one of these mornings?

This type of thing happens regularly at our house.....now it appears even Kenny gets in on the game. Maybe I'm taking too long in the bathroom? j/k
